Ruth Pomaranc, nee Reis, 73, loving mother of Joan Pomaranc, Anne (Paul) Corwin, and Kaye (TQ) White; dear grandmother of Michael and Rebecca Corwin, Emily and Addison White; adored sister of Herbert K. Reis. Pioneering resident of Dearborn Park, Newberry Library volunteer and former President of Windy City Knitting Guild. Service Friday, March 10, 2000, at Piser Original Weinstein Chapel, Chicago. Interment at Isaiah Israel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Newberry Library, 60 W. Walton Place, Chicago, IL 60610, attn: Paul Gehl, would be appreciated.
